Founding Companies MRM was founded by Panasonic, Sharp and Toshiba - all leaders in green electronic programs. These companies are committed to sustainable stewardship of their manufactured products. MRM seeks to provide a platform for all electronics manufactures and retailers to contribute to the development and management of a sustainable recycling system for electronic products. Operations MRM began operation in Minnesota in September 2007. MRM now operates recycling programs in 19 states that have regulatory requirements as well as a National Voluntary Recycling network that provides recycling opportunities in every state in the US.
Recyclers MRM works with a small group of environmental y responsible recyclers to ensure that all material recycled in the MRM program is managed in an environmentally responsible manner. Over 70% of the electronics (by weight) in MRM’s in electronics recycling program are recycled by ESteward Certified Recyclers. Click here to learn more about MRM’s recycling standards.
